Swimming holidays

South Tyrol’s bathing lakes, swimming pools, and the Mediterranean climate are perfect for fans of water! Those who spend their holiday in the Merano/Meran region should not miss jumping into the following lakes:

Paragliding

South Tyrol has always been a Mecca for paragliders and hang gliders. During your holiday in Prissiano/Prissian, you will have the opportunity to take your own paraglider up into the air or to observe the Merano/Meran region from above during an organised tandem flight.

Waterskiing & surfing

At Lake Garda, some surf schools have also included water skiing and wakeboarding in their programme. Surfing is possible on Lake Garda, and also on some lakes in South Tyrol, such as Lake Caldaro/Kaltern. For kiters, a holiday in the Merano/Meran region offers the opportunity to ride on the unique Lake Resia/Reschen.

Rafting & canyoning

You don’t have to go far to raft. On holiday in Tesimo/Tisens, you have the opportunity to experience rafting on the Adige/Etsch and Passirio/Passer rivers. During canyoning, trained guides will guide you safely through mountain canyons and across beautiful waterfalls. Equipped with a diving suit, helmet, and good shoes, you will be able to rappel down and slide across smooth rocks, swim with the current, and jump into deep pools – this can also be part of your holiday in the Merano/Meran region!
