Between the 16th and 18th centuries, the Renaissance castle was one of the most distinguished noble residences in the country. This magic has remained unbroken to this day – after extensive restorations, it is now used for numerous cultural events and can also be visited. Is the place haunted, you ask? The ghosts will probably be busy drinking wine as the castle holds a true speciality: below the castle, close to the stone bridge, you can find the largest and oldest vine in the world! It bears the name “Versoaln”, is over 360 years old and has a proud size of 300 m².
